¡Feliz día papá!

¿Sabes de donde sale la idea del día del padre? Para algunos inició en Estados Unidos y lo pensó la  Señora Sonora Smart Dodd, para otros inició en España por el día de San José (El esposo de María y padre adoptivo de Jesús) y para muchos otros es solo un día comercial en el que como el día de la madre los comerciantes aprovechan para ofrecer sus "ofertas".
Sea  lo que sea todos tenemos dos papás ¡¿Dos papás?! sí dos papás, el uno es nuestro padre aquí en la tierra y el otro es nuestro Padre que está en los cielos.
La Biblia nos dice en Eclesiástico 3, 6a " El que respeta a su padre tendrá larga vida...", no necesariamente larga vida aquí en la tierra pero si en el cielo prometido. Así que, a respetar a tu padre.
Gracias pa (así le decimos a mi papá) por ser quien eres, gracias por recordarnos que Dios está primero en nuestras vidas, por enseñarme como ser un buen papá y por enseñarme como llevar a mi familia a Cristo.

Happy Father's Day!
Do you know how the idea of Father's Day started? For some it sprang in the United States and was initiated by Mrs. Sonora Smart Dodd, for others it began in Spain to celebrate Saint Joseph's Day (husband of Mother Mary and foster father of Jesus), and for most it is a day of commerce just like Mother's Day where merchants entice consumers through tempting "sales."
Whatever it is, all of us have two fathers. Two fathers? Yes two fathers, one is our biological father here on Earth and the other one is Our Father who is in heaven.
The Bible tells us that He who reveres his father will live a long life... (Sirach 3:6) though not necessarily a long life here, but in heaven. Thus, respect thy father. Thank you pa (that's how we call our dad) for who you are, thank you for reminding us that the Lord is first in our lives, for teaching me how to be a good dad and showing me how to bring my family to Christ.
